It has long been a vision for Living Hope Church to have their own Christian Pre-School. This vision, it seems, will become a reality in 2007 thanks to our Lord who has faithfully guided and directed those to whom the vision was given. Maybe you’re not sure what a pre-school is. Well, here are a few details to help make things a little clearer.

A place for children aged between 2 ½ and 5 years to come and learn through play without their parents.

2 ½ hour sessions will take place on a daily basis with each child accessing up to 5 sessions per week.

Children over 3 years will receive funded places by the Local Education Authority. Children under 3 will have a fee to pay.

Children will be offered activities covering all areas of the curriculum as required by the Government. These areas are:

Personal, social and emotional.
Communication, language and literacy.
Maths.
Creative.
Knowledge and understanding of the world.
Physical.

The pre-school will be run by staff with level 3 qualifications in childcare and nursery nursing. The staff being Pauline Anfield and fellow church member, Rachel Cook.

As a church based business our desire is to share the love of Jesus with children and their families from all walks of life. We trust that this is achieved by offering wonderful facilities, quality education, love, care and most of all ourselves as living sacrifices used for the glory of God and him alone. We simply desire to do his will. Our pre-school will be called Jelly Tots Pre-School. Why? JE (Jesus) LL (loves) Y (you) TOTS. We want every child to know they are special and loved.

So how can you pray for us?

In ourselves, Rachel and I feel very inadequate! Therefore we are completely dependent on Jesus. Pray that we will keep focused on Him through everything. There is also much to do. From form filling, policy making, advertising, Ofsted, and health & safety inspections. Please pray that God will take us one step at a time in His time. We are already praying for children, although we are pushing ahead with all the legal aspects of the business. We need children! Pray that the Lord will bring in those he desires.
